What was the hardest part of your postpartum journey?

The  hardest part of my postpartum journey was definitely the isolation and the overwhelming feeling of being pulled in so many directions at once. The constant need to be present and available, while trying to manage my own recovery, made it a really challenging time both mentally and physically.

What do you wish you knew going into postpartum life?

I wish I had known just how much relationships and friendships would change after having a baby. Postpartum life brings a whole new set of priorities, and it can sometimes feel like you’re growing apart from people who don’t quite understand the demands of motherhood. I wasn’t prepared for how isolating that could feel, but I’ve also found deeper connections with others who are going through similar experiences.

What is your favourite part of motherhood?

My favorite part of motherhood is the deep bond and unconditional love I share with my kids. Watching them grow, learn, and discover the world is so fulfilling. There’s nothing quite like seeing their little personalities blossom and knowing I get to be a part of shaping who they become.

What do you wish you knew going into motherhood?

I wish I knew how much motherhood would change me, not just in terms of responsibilities, but in the way I view the world and myself. It’s a transformative journey that pushes you in ways you can’t predict. I also wish I had known to trust my instincts more and that it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away. There’s no ‘perfect’ way to do motherhood.
